Lesa Dusich
The Reno Dance Company is proud to announce the association of Lesa Dusich with their organization. As the Artistic and Executive Director, Ms. Dusich brings an advanced curriculum of dance instruction to The Reno Dance Company in the disciplines of ballet, jazz, lyrical, hip hop and tap, as well as award winning, contemporary choreography and immeasurable expertise in directing and production.
Ms. Dusich’s extensive background in dance includes instruction
with the Boston School of Ballet as well as the Clark Center of Performing
arts, the Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre and the Broadway Dance Center, in New
York City. Her performances have spanned the globe from Epcot Center as a
young dancer, through many national and international locations such as Bermuda
and Bahamas, and finally to the Shubert Theatre in New York City, appearing
in ‘Night of One Hundred Stars.’ Ms. Dusich has also appeared
in film, music videos, and on the morning talk show, ‘Regis and Kathie
Lee.’ While in Las Vegas she managed and choreographed while performing
in the water revue show ‘Splash’. She was cast in Nevada Festival
Ballet’s performance of ‘The Nutcracker’ in the Arabian
pas de deux ‘Coffee’ for three consecutive years, which inspired
director, Maggie Banks, to employ her as a ballet instructor in her school.
Since that time, Ms. Dusich has choreographed and directed ‘Reno’s
Hometown Nutcracker’ for two consecutive years as well as the edgy
contemporary and popular summer spectacular, ‘Xtreme Dance’
and is now looking forward to creating and directing Northern Nevada’s
first professional dance company and adding to The Reno Dance Company’s
performance repertoire.
